5mm vs 2.6mm — which to use
5mm (standard / Midi) beads are the default: easy to place, forgiving to iron, and what most patterns assume. 2.6mm mini beads pack far more detail into the same space but are fiddly and melt fast — only worth it for small, high-detail pieces.
